Growth and development should reflect the values of our community, fit the scale and character of the town, and protect the feel that residents treasure. We can welcome thoughtful progress without turning Monument into something it was not meant to be.

Residents deserve to be heard. People want a local government that listens, communicates clearly, and makes decisions in the open. Town leaders should be accessible, accountable, and respectful of our residents’ voices.

Small businesses are the fabric of Monument.
 
When our local businesses thrive, our town thrives. Small businesses create jobs, support families, build community identity, sponsor local events, and keep money circulating locally. Town government should treat small businesses as essential partners in the future of Monument.

Manage growth responsibly

Growth is happening. The question is whether we manage it wisely.
 
Many residents feel growth in recent years has moved faster than thoughtful planning. Monument deserves leadership that asks the right questions before the decisions are made: Does this fit the town character and values? Can our roads, services, and infrastructure support this? Does this improve the quality of life for our residents?
 
My commitment:
  • Support sustainable growth that also serves residents, not just expansion for its own sake.
  • Encourage planning that considers roads, traffic, water, infrastructure, and neighborhood impact.
  • Ask tougher questions about long-term consequences before approving major decisions.
  • Make sure growth works for Monument families and businesses.

No. I am not against growth. I believe growth should be planned carefully and responsibly. Monument can grow without losing its character, but that takes better planning, stronger accountability, and a clear focus on the needs of residents.

I want residents to feel heard, respected, and included. I support transparent government, accessible leadership, and decision-making that reflects the concerns of the people who live here.

I’m very passionate about this topic. I have spent most of my life working with businesses to help them grow and thrive. I truly believe small businesses are the fabric of Monument. You'll have my support. When local businesses thrive, our citizens thrive. They create jobs, strengthen community connections, and help preserve the identity of our town.

I've been asked by several people on where I stand on Buc-ee's: I am opposed to the Buc-ee’s proposal as it currently stands. From what I’ve heard from residents and seen so far, this proposal raises real concerns for our community, and I share those concerns. People in the Monument area deserve thoughtful, well-managed growth that takes into account traffic, water resources, emergency services, and the character that makes our community such a special place to live. I believe in supporting businesses and responsible economic growth, but I do not believe large corporations should be allowed to move forward without accountability when local families and neighborhoods are the ones who will live with the long-term impact. My position is simple: growth should work for the people who live here, not be forced on them.

Monument has a unique small-town identity that residents care deeply about. For me, preserving Monument’s character means making sure growth and development fit the scale, feel, and values of the community, rather than changing the town in ways that diminish what makes it so special.

I bring decades of civic, professional, and business leadership experience with me to help serve the people and the town of Monument. But more importantly, I want to bring a practical, community-focused voice to our Town Council. I know how important it is to listen, communicate clearly, and make thoughtful decisions that serve people well over the long term.
